What kinds of announcement bars can I create?
You can add a bar at the top or bottom of your store, fixed or sticky, or a bar at the top of the cart page. Each bar can show a single announcement, a scrolling running line or several announcements that rotate.
Can I show a discount code in the bar?
Yes. Add a coupon code to your announcement and choose how it looks. You can also add a call-to-action button or make the bar a link to any page of your store.
Can I choose where the bar appears?
Yes. Show it on every page (with exclusions), only on the home page, on all or specific product pages, on products in specific collections, or on all or specific collection pages. You can also place it anywhere with an app block, and show it to shoppers in all countries or only in the countries you choose.
Can I schedule an announcement?
Yes. Start a bar right away or on a specific date, and let it run with no end date or stop on the date you choose. Dates follow your store's time zone.
Does it work with my theme?
Yes. You turn the bar on from your theme editor with a Shopify app embed, so you don't need to edit any code. To place a bar in a custom position, add the app block in a theme that supports app blocks (Online Store 2.0).
Can I translate my announcements?
Yes. Add translations from the announcement editor so shoppers see the bar in the language they browse your store in.
